Squid Ink Pasta in SF?

My friend and I have been on a mad hunt for squid ink pasta, and it seems that it can't be found anywhere. Is this a seasonal item? Or are restaurants just not serving it anymore? If you know of a place in SF that serves it, please let me know!

  1. from the Search feature above, found this thread:

    1. A16 in San Francisco has a great one. A few months ago, it was squid ink linguine with squash blossoms. The current menu offers squid ink tonnarelli with shrimp, tomato and garlic.

I've also had squid ink pasta at Panta Rei but found it quite bland and greasy.

Tried the squid ink pasta at A16, although it's seasonal. I also discovered squid ink risotto at Pesce on Polk Street...

Beretta makes a pretty good squid ink risotto. I loved it but my friends thought it was too fishy.

      2. Da Flora (Columbus & Filbert) has a wonderful Risotto Nero, but call first, the menu changes

        1. I've had squid ink pasta at E Tutto Qua in North Beach. It was pretty tasty, served with a light red sauce and seafood (I think it was shrimp, calamari, and clams but not for sure).

          1. The Moss Room at the Academy of Sciences has a wonderful squid ink on top of calamari with risotto. Not pasta, but it was good.
