best room at bayona?

I have always wanted to eat at Bayona and was thinking of going this New Years with my boyfriend. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion about which room is the nicest/most romantic? I don't know if I could even make a request when I made a reservation but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. Not knowing I wouldn't want to make a mistake like ending up upstairs at galatoires or in the main(?) dining room at Antoines. (I think the front room is much prettier) Thanks! Or other amazing New year's recommendations are always welcome, I haven't made the reservation yet.

Great question, and I have the answer for you. Bayona is our favorite place, and it is where I proposed to my wife. Request a booth. There are only two of them, they are semi-circular, and they are in a small room with two tables and a tromp l'oeil on the wall. If you get the booth, you and your BF can snuggle next to each other, sample from each other's plates, and other assorted romantic etc, etc...be sure one of you get the shrimp with black bean cake and coriander, or the sweetbreads...or the garlic soup...or...well, you get the idea.

No problem! Have a great time, and post afterward to let us all know how it was.
