Something relatively inexpensive - no pizzarias or "cosi" type places.

People's opinon of what "relatively inexpensive" means can differ. Therefore, it would be helpful if you would tell us your per person budget for food. Also, any particular cuisine preferences? .

Uncle Nick's, on 9th, b/t 50th & 51st Sts., serves very good Greek food. Efficient service. Pleasant taverna-style setting.

          Bread & Olive on 45th btw 5th and 6th.

ETA: Sorry I misread that as "Rockefeller Center"...I'd check out Azuri on 51st off 10th Ave or Taboon on 10th Ave off 52nd.

I second the recommendation for Azuri Cafe (W 51st near 10th). The best shawarma gyro in the city.
