Where to get porter ale?
On this snowy day in Manhattan, I am thinking of making Molly Stevens' braised short ribs. Can anyone suggest a place in the West Village where I can get porter ale? Also, is there a substitute I can use if I can't get it?
As a non-beer drinker, I have no idea what the difference is between beer, ale, and porter ale!!
