MSP- Beef/Veal Cheek

Just moved here from NYC. Wondering if there is somewhere to procure beef or veal cheeks, preferably from a grass raised animal. I started with Clancy's but they said they don't carry them because their supplier won't provide steer heads due to bacterial concerns. Any assistance would be greaty appreciated.

  1. Two places which come to mind are El Burrito Mercado in West St. Paul and Dragon Star Supermarket in St. Paul. However, I'd call before I visited either one. I haven't shopped for beef cheeks; I just know that both stores carry an above-average selection of "variety meats".

    1. My first thought was Husnik's Meat Company in South St. Paul. They are a wholesaler and were written up by Dara a while back as a good place to procure the less common cuts and offal.
