Vietnamese food in Andover/Northshore area?

Ok do not go to the T and N place. It was not good. If you think the food here is good then you would be blown away by Pho in Woburn. We were there on a Friday night at 6:30 OM and we were the only ones in the place. The food was bland and tasted old to me. I will try Pho and Vermicelli next.

I've been to Pho in Woburn, and Pho 88 in Lowell, both of which blow away T & N in Lawrence, but if your in Andover or Lawrence and have a craving for Vietnamese, unfortunately T & N is the only game around.
I've only been during lunch hours and it is always busy, and I've never experienced anything old or off tasting here. Can't say the same about bland tasting, but nothing a little hot chili sauce can't cure.

If you live a bit further north, T&N is an oasis in a drab culinary landscape. And I love stocking up on groceries next door after fresh rolls and pho. I'm sure there are better but not within a fifteen minute drive.

I love shopping from groceries at that store on saturday mornings because they bring in from some bakery the bahn mi sandwiches and different kind of buns and other goodies.

Off Rt 3 and Drum Hill Rotary, heading past the Walmart, on your right is Pho Republique. Worth the drive. Pho 1 in Woburn is also good. Also, check on the New England board, search under Lowell and I'm sure you'll find posts covering various Asian restaurants.

Did you know it's just changed ownership? It's now something like Pho 888, and much better than the last incarnation...I had the sketchiest goi cuon ever at the last one once this summer...They had renuked the rice noodles; I figured they were on their way out...

I was just there last week for lunch and it was quite satisfying. Yes I think it is called Super Pho 888 or something....

I'll definitely take Mom there soon; she loved the pho she had at Sugarcane in Peabody Sq., so this should give her a much better taste of the real deal....

There's a great little Vietnamese place on Rte 38 in Woburn called Pho # 1.
