New Sushi Restaurant next to Ruen Pair

I was at Ganda picking up some chicharron when I saw this big yellow banner next to the Ruen Pair entrance announcing an upcoming sushi spot. Anyone got any details?

i was just about to say, thai sushi (even in thong lor) is a few steps below korean sushi... either way, based on location and target clientele i can't imagine it will be very good...

If there's one thing I've learned about sushi shops, it's that you can find magic in the randomest places. Sushi Shibucho in Costa Mesa and Sushi Wasabi in Tustin are two immediate examples.

Sushi Ike isn't too far away from Ruen Pair and is doing really well (at this point, I'll put it ahead of Sushi Zo on my scale, but I'll continue to pimp Zo so that I don't have to wait too long at Ike).

I was at lunch at Ganda and noticed that signage had gone up. The staff walking in and out looked Japanese, so hopefully it's not merely a Korean or Thai owner looking to capture some market share.

There weren't any house-made pork rinds at the Silom market next door. In true LA fashion, I still drove from one parking lot to the other.
