Whole Poached Salmon

I would like to find a fully prepared whole poached salmon to add to my holiday buffet table. I live in Center City, but have-car-will-travel nearby for something truly special if necessary. I'm doing the rest of the cooking myself and would sure like to free-up refrigerator space if possible. Any suggestions?

This isn't in Center City, but the fish store in Wynnewood (next to the Whole Foods on Lancaster Ave.) will poach a beautiful fish for you. They do a great job, I've had one.

Here's the link to their website:

I saw the most incredible whole poached fish at the Whole Foods in Pittsburgh recently. The fish, head and tail on it appeared to be swimming, it was standing, and curved from the head to the tail.

Benkovitz in Pittsburgh's Strip District does whole poached salmon.

I would check with Ippolitos at 13th and Dickenson. Best seafood in town (Samuels and Sons is the same folks) and they say they will cook anything in the store for you (they have a standard cooked food counter so they are prepared). Chef's Market at 2nd and South might do it as well- and make it look nicer - but it will be much more expensive. I'll be interested to see what you find.
