My husband and I are getting ready to move back to London- Hackney area. Our time in Brooklyn has spoiled us and we would like to know if there is any sort of food coop or CSA (community supported agriculture) scheme.

Growing Communities in Stoke Newington is a charity which does many things, including an organic box scheme, and a certified organic farmers'' market (every Saturday at a school on the junction of Stoke Newington High St/Church Street). They used to have a CSA relationship with a farm in the country called Veg in Clover - don't know if that still happens. London does not seem to have the same kind of direct links between a particular city block and a farm like in NY. Londonfoodlink.org.uk is excellent resource. I have NY family and friends, and look forward to meeting you.
