Stopped by because I was in the area today and got the Dry Ribs w/ beans and slaw. Just the smell of the place gets the juices flowing and I loved every single morsel that passed through my mouth. The ribs were dry-rubbed and literally falling off the bones and the true smoked flavor stills permeates my office....unbelievably yummy. Not your kid's par-boiled babybacks with sickly sweet sauce..oh no....these were the real McCoys!! I am a long time lover of Andy's food and I always loved his beans...spicy with hot peppers evident throughout. Slaw was homemade and very good and the slice of cornbread that comes included was warm and really good. But here is the best part....I am on a mailing list and received a coupon in the mail that was good for $7.50 off my lunch because it is my birthday month so my incredible lunch cost around $3.00! There was a thread awhile back about birthday deals and this truly works for me and I would suggest all BBQ lovers sign up for it. Funny thing is that I do not really remember even registering for it...but sure enough it came in the mail one day. One last thing....if there is no wood smoke in the air...it ain't real BBQ!! Excuse me while I take a nap..thank God it is Friday.

  1. yeah.... my girlfriend and I really dig Andy Nelson's. I think they have the best Pulled pork ever. Over Thanksgiving I was in Chicago and ate at Honey One, if you're ever in the area don't miss out on their ribtips...awesome!

    1. Just had Andy's for lunch today, pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, potato salad - I adore their potato salad. The pulled pork was very tasty but I still think IMHO that Big Bad Wolf on Harford Road has better pulled pork!
