Finally amist all the chain mania in Annapolis a new place opened by people who are passionate about their business emerges. I have stopped by the new wine bar in Annapolis several times and have been nothing but pleased. The concept is a speciality wine bar that offers unique flights, by the glass and bottle selections. They have a few beer selections, but this place is all about the wine. Nice stemware, knowledgable friendly staff and many unique touches really create a nice vibe.

They are not a restaurant, but serve a great cheese plate. What they serve for $10 would easily cost $20 or more at the local Whole Foods. The owners told me they hope to add some desserts and maybe sandwiches in the future.

The space is on West street right next to the Lowes hotel. It is a cool space and a welcome change from the local bars in town.

Check this place out soon before it gets too crowded.

The wine was great and the staff was very knowledgeable of the different wines. However, we went there on a Saturday- about 11:30pm and were told it was last call so they helped us pick a bottle and offered us to drink it there. Well, as people were leaving they started turning off the music, turning on all of the lights, and basically kicking us out- way before midnight (when they supposedly closed).
At 11:57pm, we had maybe one full glass left in our bottle and the person, who I believe is the owner, came over- shoved a cork in all the way in our $50 bottle of wine- which was impossible to get out when we got home- and put our bottle in a paper bag and told us to leave.

I understand that they close at midnight, but the manner that this person handled the situation was unreasonable. We didn't complain about them cleaning up around us and the rest of the staff was going about their business doing what they needed to do.

We're in Annapolis a lot and frequent visitors to wine bars- this is one that was my favorite, but after being treated the way I was- I definitely will not be back and will make sure everyone that I know, will stay away from there.

Interesting name. This is what happened to a friend of mine who broke a tooth and then drank some cheap red--his tooth turned purple. I suppose an expensive red would've done the same thing.
