I just bought some in the natural foods (whatever that means) section of the supermarket and I'm scared. It's got caffeine, taurine, ginseng, guarana, OK, I'm familiar with all that; but it's also got B vitamins in forms I've never heard of--cyanocobalamin and pyridoxine hydroxide. Also, I felt the zoom after 2 sips--and I'm *not* a lightweight. All that remains--carbonated water and natural flavor.

Can any nutritional scientific-minded sorts tell me just how evil or innocuous this stuff is?

Cyanocobalamin is the scientific name for vitamin B12, and pyridoxine is the scientific name for B6. Sort of like Advil vs. ibuprofen. Same thing, different name. Generally not going to give you a buzz unless you're truly deficient. My money is on the caffeine (stimulant) + guarana (more stimulant) combo.

Oh, thanks. I thought they might be toxic chemical forms of the vitamin rather than the sci. names thereof.
