Late night near the Providence Biltmore?

amolmodi Nov 28, 2007 02:03 PM

I'm going to be staying at the Biltmore in Providence tomorrow night, and I'm trying to find an interesting place to eat that's in walking distance of my hotel and Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel. I like unusual and creative places, and have come up with places like Red Fez by reading previous posts, but I'm not really sure about the geography of it all. Also, it'll have to be a place that's open late, since dinner will probably have to wait until 10 or 11. Any natives have suggestions that'll let me eat well without getting into my car?

Local 121 serves a full menu in their tap room until midnight.

The Red Fez is not too long a walk, depends on what you're used to, I would consider it walking distance. Also, Cuban Revolution's downtown location is close and open till 1 on weeknights. http://thecubanrevolution.com/

Haven Brothers! One block away, on the other side of City Hall. If you want unusual, this is the place. And if you're taking in a show at Lupo's, you'll likely see some of your fellow concertgoers at Haven Brothers.

I recommend the hot dogs -- commonly known as gaggers.

You might try AS220, there is an excellent mexican food place in the building and they serve beer also. Taqueria Pacifica is the name of the restaurant. Very casual, you order at the counter and they bring the food to you.
