North Shore/Rockport Ideas?

Hi. LA guy going to be visiting family... Any good ideas for restaurants?

    Another vote for Passports, in Gloucester. Great food (ah, popovers) and nice atmosphere.

    Avoid the Ocean View Inn in Gloucester. Lovely little property, WAAAYYY overpriced mediocre food. I was married there a few years ago and loved it, but it's gotten steadily pricier and, uh..mediocre-er.

      Head ten minutes down the road to Gloucester and try Duckworth Bistro or Franklin Cafe for upscale, Passports for lovely mid-range (try the baked haddock), or Causeway for basic pasta and seafood.

        I would suggest the Emerson Inn. It is an old inn very close to the water. It has a nice dining room with beautiful views of the ocean. The food is good and the service is excellent. I have held several company functions there and always been satisfied.

          Breakfast - Flav's Red Skiff (downtown)
          Lunch - The Greenery - (downtown) sit in back room - great view
          Dinner - Yankee Clipper - good food - great Ocean View
