Office Holiday Lunch Suggestions?

TomH Nov 27, 2007 06:55 AM

Hey all,
We do an annual lunch in my office which usually turns into the rest of the afternoon/early evening barhopping. We usually have about 15 or so of us and like to visit places with some "holiday atmosphere". Lasy year we did Upstairs on the Square which was nice and we were able to bounce around in Harvard Square afterwards. That is also around the price range we are thinking.

Does anybody have any suggestions for "festive" places we may want to try that are in areas where we can hit up a few other places afterwards? Pool, bowling, darts, etc. are also a plus for after lunch activities.

Our office is going to Atlantic Fish Co on Boylston. Kings is nearby and Newbery St is around the corner.

You could eat at Sagra in Davis Sq., followed up with The Burren for beers, Diesel for pool, that bowling alley whose name I forget for bowling.

Sacco's Bowl Haven. Great place - closing soon - being redeveloped into a "Community Center" that will incorporate a few of the lanes. We bowl there every other week or so and follow up with beer and BBQ at Redbones. So much fun.

No! I love Sacco's! Even though I forgot its name. At least a few of its lanes will remain. Do you know what this community center will consist of? I imagine a happy afterlife at The Someday Cafe and Sacco's.

Thanks, Small Plates. It sounds like it could be a great place. I like that someone mentioned talking to the Someday folks about possible involvement, but it sounds like they're looking for more of a catering business to work with. We'll see....
