i am trying to make some torrone, and i need to locate some thin rice paper/wafer paper. chinatown? or some other specialty baking store?
Go to any grocery store in the dundas/spadina area, you will find it....
Yes, try your local Bulk Barn. Mine in Hamilton has it, hanging in the specialty baking area.
Bulk Barn at Dufferin and Steeles also carries rice paper. I think it was 45 cents per sheet. You have to ask the cashier for it.
I buy mine every year from John Vince Foods. You have to ask the cashier for it though; they keep it at the front of the store under the cashier's desk.
St. Lawrence Market downstairs....I heard someone ask the very same thing on Saturday.
I bought mine at Loblaws. Asian food aisle.
Although I would normally expect a good selection in Chinatown or at PAT or T&T, I actually saw this at Dominion, in the sushi area. It was $6 or $7.
