i've gone thru the past threads to only come up with Lawry's and Tam O'shanters. I too am looking for a christmas eve dinner but perhaps not so traditional and not too fancy. something like angeli caffe's thanksgiving dinner in the $20-40 pp price range. i'm thinking of having sushi as well. if anyone has experienced a decent x-mas dinner out please advise. thanks.

tangier restaurant does a x-mas eve dinner...that probably wouldn't be so traditional, and it's within your price range. this is what they had last year...

Our regular menu is offered along with the following special menu:
Three course meal at $38.00 head
in the beautiful Tangier dining room
          4:00pm - 10pm
          Choice of one starter:
          Roasted Butternut Squash soup
          garnished with whipped cream nutmeg
Mix greens with Beets, spicy carmelized pecans, goat cheese
          and balsalmic dressing
          Choice of one entree:
          Pan seared salmon
served over braised leeks and mushrooms with citrus Beurre blanc
          Seafood Raviolli
served with Tarragn lobster cream sauce
Grilled Flat Iron steak with Pan roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Garlic spinach with red wine balsamic sauce
          Choice of one dessert:
Profiteroles with Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce or
