Krispy Kreme type creme filled donut?
I used to love the creme-filled doughnuts they sold at Krispy Kreme and now discontined (even though strangely enough still advertised on their site).
I would drive 30 miles and up to get them.
Is there any alternative to these creme-filled doughuts at other doughnut shops in the Bay Area?

I'm in love with the bomboloni's at Boriana's Corner in the SF Ferry Building. It's an Italian doughnut that's filled. I love the custard but the nutella is good too.

I would definitely drive 30 miles or more for one of these bomboloni's. But luckily for me it's just a 20-minute BART ride. :)

That is excatly what I was going to suggest! I had one of those for the first time last weekend and now I crave them. Sadly, I live in Texas and am out of luck. I shared the custard filled one with my friend and you could see us both mentally struggling to not eat more than our respective half.

Though not technically a donut, Beard Papa's (cream puffs) might be the best cream filled baked good you've had in a long time.

Which creme filled one are you talking about that has been discontinued? You don't mean creme-filled in general do you? I was recently at the Union City one and they have the normal selection of creme-filled, cake, and of course the yeast raised krispy kreme donut hot off the conveyor belt. My favorite creme filled one right now is the cheesecake one.
