Freezing meringues

I have some leftover eggwhites from my Thanksgiving baking. I'd like to make some meringues and freeze them for my holiday cookie gifts, but someone told me they don't freeze well. I could individually wrap them. Or would it be better to just freeze the eggwhites and use later? Would that work? tia

Moisture is the enemy of baked meringue! But you can freeze egg whites. You might want to freeze them in quantities that you can use. One egg white equals about 1 oz.
