Saturday Lunch in DC

A friend and I are meeting for lunch today in the Chinatown/MetroCenter area. All of the restaurants that were recommended near the Convention Center are closed for lunch on Saturday. Any recommendations? I wanted to try something new- I have been to Matchbox, Ella's, and a few other places in the area.

Not sure what was recommended to you but how about Cafe Atlantico or Acadiana. I believe they are both open for lunch on Saturdays. And if you like Matchbox I'm pretty sure that is open if you want to try it again.

Poste is probably open as well since its a hotel restaurant. And finally you can check out Jaleo for some fun tapas

Brasserie Beck at 11th & K would be open, and it is both new and excellent.

Sadly, Brasserie Beck was closed for lunch yesterday, as was Acadiana (which, from what I can tell, is not open for Saturday lunch). Matchbox was packed, but I was able to get a seat at the bar and really enjoyed the burger and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly to medium rare and the gorgonzola/mushroom topping was tasty.
