We'll be in Athens on a Sat. nite w/ 10 yr old. If it was just the 2 of us we'd do 5 & 10 but would like something nice but less expensive w/ him. Any suggestions?

Go to five and ten and order your kid the small risotto, which is always on the menu in some form and is about 11 dollars. Nowhere here even compares to 5 and 10, but if you simply must eat elsewhere, I would try the farm. The food is under seasoned and very much a hit or miss affair, so don't order anything too complex or you will be disappointed. The burger is always a winner. The atmosphere is very nice and casual.

I can't for the life of me think why you shouldn't take the kid to 5&10. Nothing else in town really compares.

One of the owners was dining there with his wife and 2-year-old child last time we were there. That is one lucky kid. He had a great time, from the looks of it. And our meal was divine. The scallops special was so good.

I actually wrote to 5&10 and Hugh wrote me back suggesting I talk to the server and they could do smaller portions and price them accordingly...I was pretty impressed.

I have heard some very good things about the East West Bistro.
