small and cozy in CT

Hi,

Are there any small, intimate, and cozy restaurants in the Greater Hartford area? Good food is a must, but type is not important.

I just know about the chain restaurants.

2 hopewell in South Glastonbury is getting some good reviews. Beautiful old building and good food. Might be a bit pricey but no more than some of the restaurants recommended here. Jay

Try Bin 228 in Hartford. Very intimate and cozy. I love Monte Alban, It is small and friendly. Cottage also very good IMO, skip Ann Howards, both upstairs and down. Food not worth the $$$$, service can be snootty, and noise level is high. Tosca in Suffield is also a nice fit to what you are looking for.

It is Mediza. Mediterranean theme. I had a good app and excellent dessert, but found my entree poor the one time I ate there. My brother loves it though. It is owned by a husband/wife team. http://www.medizarestaurant.com/
