Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

What exactly is Masa's price at the moment?

I hear a pretty wide range, from 350 - 600.

I am planning to take my girlfriend, her sister, and her sister's husband to a meal there, so I want to find out how much I should allocate.

None of us drinks, so let's say it's just food, tax and tips.
How much should I allocate per person?

Thanks!

  1. The omakase dinner tasting menu costs a minimum of $400 per person and does not include tax, tip, or drinks.

Is there an a la carte menu too?

No a la carte menu, just the omakase. $450/pp
When I went two weeks ago, there was also a supplement option of Australian Wagyu with white truffles for $120.
A generous friend got the bill so I don't know if there is still a 20% extra charge

    2. Is there still the 20% "service charge" before tax and tip? If so, make sure you are taking that into consideration.

      1. I want to try his food more than anything.
But his prices are just too high for me.
The most Ive ever spent for a meal was $375 per person for a nine course wagyu steak meal in Tokyo-including wine. No way am I dropping $500 per person unless it includes a happy ending!
