Pub type places in historic area?

Last minute, but my sister wanted to take the kids in for a walk around the historic area. They are looking for some pub type food in the area. They love Standard Tap, so is there any place similar in the area? Not my favorite type of food, so I did not know where to send them. The kids are 4 and 7, fyi, and they all love good burgers. Any suggestions?

Society Hill Hotel and Bar at 3rd and Chestnut is the first place that comes to mind.

guess it's too late for last-minute, but eulogy at 2nd and chestnut (if by historic area you mean old city, lower numbered streets centered around market street) has some good pub grub and an absolutely overwhelming list of beers! i really like the fish and chips, i find it hard to stop eating them after i'm full a quarter of the way through the dish. however pub-type places and kids sorta contradict each other i think, never seen kids in either eulogy or the standard tap. that's not to say you couldn't bring them, i guess, so long as they're not carding at the door!
