'nicer' restaurant with many vegetarian options downtown?
I'm searching the archives for this too, but just in case I miss anything...
Looking for a nice-ish restaurant for two vegetarians (doesn't have to be vegetarian, just some place where we'll have more than one or two options!) between Spadina and Church, King and Dundas, roughly.
Nice-ish meaning...say around $60 for dinner for two (without alcohol). So yeah, that's probably cheap to a lot of folks here, but a bit more than I would normally spend to be honest.
Thanks in advance!

Just throwing it out because I haven't been there myself but I know Toba offers a few vegetarian choices, just four blocks east of Church on King at Sherbourne.

How's this? I've eaten at neither place (unreconstructed omnivore), but some vegetarian friends of mine like these places.
Fressen.

I hope that that helps.

Based on those parameters, the only places I can think of, that I would wholeheartedly recommend, are not in your boundary. I haven't tried an Indian or Middle Eastern restaurant south of Dundas, west of Church, that I would recommend. Hernando's Hideway is on Wellington, east of Yonge. I find it just ok. Others on the board seem to enjoy it. Oh, you didn't mention Chinese, but if you like Chinese, perhaps Spadina Garden on Dundas, west of Bay. I haven't been, but I've heard people mention Cafe 668: http://www.cafe668.com/. I like Fresh on Queen near Trinity Bellwoods (I know it's West of your boundaries) but I wouldn't consider it "nicer". It's casual. Maybe others on the board can help with other suggestions.
The places north of bloor which would work (just in case you are interested) are:
