Only One Night in Portland

Next Friday my husband and I will be spending one night in Portland and staying at the Benson Hotel. With the help of others, I have narrowed it down to the following three restaurants (close to the Benson).

If you had only one night to dine out in Portland, which of these would you choose?

Thank you for your help.

  1. Depends on what type of food and atmosphere you want. Personally I would go up to the Pearl and go to Oba - great good and great atmosphere - should make for a fun night.

Typhoon is top notch Thai and would be convienent as just across the street.

Pazzo is fine but why go there when so many other better great local Italian and/or Northwest cuisine that would be better (Higgins, Paley's Place and Wildwood all come to mind)

    1. Yeah, might as well go to the Pearl to get out of your neighborhood. But you should cross Burnside at around 10th Ave, where it's not quite as seedy as it is on Broadway. Go West from the Benson to 10th, then turn right. You can always stop at Powells for some book browsing...

      1. Oba is great! It's in a great location and the food is delicious.
