Does an Apple crisp need to be refrigerated?

There's ever enough left over to refirigerate?
I know, preparing it tonight for tomorrow...

    Re "crisp" it before serving.

I have personally left it out overnight before and it as fine. The crust does get soft though, but it gets soft in the fridge too. I have heard of them being cooked separately and then reheated together to keep the crisp "crisp."

I am making it tonight to be served tomorrow night and would like to know how to store it. Thanks.

All the recipes say it should be refrigerated. Cover with plastic wrap with a few holdes poked in the top to keep it from getting soggy.

Frankly, though, there's nothing in an apple crisp that's not in an apple pie and a pie certainly keeps overnight. Nonetheless, if you have the room in the fridge, probably better to be safe.

I always leave mine out overnight, covered in plastic wrap, and have lived to tell the tale...
