Please send recommendations for some fabulous feasts you have had in this city as well as any surrounding city such as Tlaquepaque. Any food tips in general would be most appreciated.

No trip to Guadalajara would be complete without visiting Karnes Garibaldi: http://www.karnegaribaldi.com.mx/
    A Guadalajara institution!

I'll be in Guadalajara for the FIL (Feria Internacional del Libro) for the opening weekend, November 24-25. It's the second largest book fair in the world, and just spectacular. 4spain, are you an exhibitor or a spectator? Let's meet!

      A few recommendations for meals:

      Guadalajara:
Ma Come No...excellent Italian, don't miss the salad bar
Cocina 88...after three visits, it's been marvelous two out of three
La O...consistently wonderful (it's Cocina 88's little sister)
Karne Garibaldi...a don't-miss for a great regional treat

      Tlaquepaque:
El Pescador Rojas: slightly off the beaten path, not-to-be missed seafood
      Casa Fuerte
      Adobe

I am a librarian attending FIL. It will be my second time attending. I appreciate all the restaurant recommendations!
