  1. I did a little research for you on the Mass Pike, The best bet in finding a decent place to eat would be to get off at Exit 3, The exit takes you to westfield or holyoke. There is a large mall there and plenty of places to eat, If you keep going on the mass pike west the next exit is 2 . This is the stockbridge exit. The distance between the two is quite a few miles. and there is guite a drive from off the highway to get into the nearest town. I would advise you to get off of the pike at exit 3 ,unless you end up there to early in the day to have a meal. As i dont know your travel plans except you will be on the mass pike you will have to decide for yourself. Cant help you any more than this. Hope this helps you in some way. Good luck

    1. Might be tough after 9:00pm on Thanksgiving eve. Are you going North or South on I87?

If you are going North from Albany and can make it that far before you eat, 1 exit south of the 90/787 interchange is the Albany Pump Station.

There's a few places within a mile or two at Exit #2 in Mass at the Lee/Stockbridge exit, but it's mostly fast food and pizza. Arizona Pizza is decent. Head North after exiting if you are going to try this area.

Red Lion in Stockbridge is nice, but it is a few miles off of the Pike in Stockbridge.

          Going south on 87

        2. Exit 4 will take you to I-91, and there are a number of restaurants in the Holyoke area around the Ingleside Mall at exit 15 northbound

          1. Steaming Tender in Palmer. Beautiful space in an antique train station. We had decent sandwiches and local beer on tap. There are entrees but we did not try them.
Where to eat off the Pike has been a long frustration.
Turn R off Palmer exit, L at the T intersection, Hard R immediately after the bridge over the tracks.

            1. We ended up taking I -84 all the way to I -87. No traffic last night but very foggy.Ate at the Alexis Diner just after the Beacon Bridge. I must say...about the best Greek salad and warm pita I've had in a long time. $6.95 for a HUGE salad. Hubs liked his burger w cole slaw and a pickle. Add a beer and a cup o tea and the bill was only $18 bucks. Good way to start the Holiday weekend I'd say.
