Cuban food

lost squirrel Nov 20, 2007 06:06 PM

Specifically, I'm looking for a cuban sandwich. I'm not hopeful, but there's always a chance.

Barring the ability to just buy one, does anyone know of a good place to pick up turkey?

A new friend of mine is really really aching for a Cuban and I want to deliver. I'll make it myself if I have to, but Hanamasa by my house only sells smoked turkey 'fingers'

I emailed the Cuban embassy yesterday, anyone care to take a guess on if they'll respond or not?

        Here in Tokyo? Indefinitely.
        Cuba? Never been.

Miami for Cuban sandwiches - many times!

And it had turkey?! The only Cuban sandwich that I'm familiar with includes: ham, roasted pork, cheese, yellow mustard and pickles with the whole thing pressed.

There is a cuban restaurant in roppongi Bodeguita....dunno is they have they serve a "real" cuban sandwich though. Maybe you could ask them for ideas on where to buy legit ingredients?

I've seen that in my searches, their official website is here

But there are no Cubans unfortunately. Maybe the waitstaff will be able to help me though, good idea!
