Ice Machine - Which makes the ideal ice?

Who has experiences, good and bad, with ice makers?

We're looking for....

1) Clear cubes (maybe filtered?)
2) Symmetrical cubes, for even melting (no crescents, cylinders, or other weird shapes)
3) Reliability
4) Bonus points for perfect cubes, which would be the ideal aesthetic.

I posted a topic in the cookware board, where this probably belongs, but I figured the spirits lovers would have more experience with ice makers. Please post over here:

If you are looking for a commercial ice machine the Hoshisaki Pillow Cuber is my favorite. Okay, the ice is somewhat pillow shaped but not hollow and quite clear in my experience.
