Sushi in Coastal North County San Diego

Sushi is my favorite food and my birthday is coming soon. I will ask to be taken to the best Sushi bar north of Del Mar and West of Escondido. I love Kaisen Sushi in Oceanside as it has fresh tasting fish served in decent size morsels and Charlie - the friendly sushi chef. Other suggestions?

there has been quite a bit of debate about this on other threads. that said, I give a big thumbs up to Nobu in Solana Beach. have not been (still) to Kaito but have no reason to question daantaat and others on its quailty.
