Pre-Cooked Thanksgiving Turkey

James H. Robinson Nov 20, 2007 09:28 AM

Where can I get a pre-cooked Thanksgiving turkey in Oakland at the last minute? Does Whole Foods sell them?

Let me elaborate: I don't want a WHOLE turkey. I just want PART of a turkey. Where can I get that?

I looked into this a few years ago and at the time I think that Whole Foods in Berkeley sold "cooked" half turkeys.

The Pasta Shop at Market Hall had pre-cooked Turkey parts when I was there the other day. It looked good but I didn't try it.

Speaking of Market Hall, Enzo's butcher shop will rotisserie turkey for you. I know I saw whole breasts and legs and wings and possibly whole birds.

Andronico's sells parts, pretty much any way and sides.

Chinese barbecue places ("hanging duck stands") will often have roast turkeys hanging in the window tomorrow and Thursday. You can buy a quarter, half or whole. Check Stockton or Clement streets in SF, or Oakland Chinatown.
