Hey there. I was on a quest for Lyle's Golden Syrup earlier this year. BTW, it is most definitely NOT corn syrup; it's a byproduct of the sugar refining process and therefore not as nasty a product as corn syrup. But I digress.
I got mine at A Bit of Home in Mississauga. They're online (http://www.abitofhome.ca/) and they'll even deliver. I went there to pick the stuff up in person and was amazed at the selection and price of the British chocolate and candies they carried. Much more reasonably priced that the candy at The Nutty Chocolatier. I bought a ton of candy!

Oy, I hope I didn't come across as too much of a dork there. I just love me some Lyle's Golden Syrup, ha ha. Also, corn syrup is just so bad for humans! Butter tarts, pecan pie and other desserts really benefit from exchanging the corn syrup for good old Lyle's. It's dirt cheap, too.
The most important question I should have asked, though, was what the hell would anyone want with treacle?!?!? ssainani, you must tell us!

re: Mila
I use golden syrup in my gingerbread and ginger loaf, it's delicious. I also like to eat it on crumpets - it soaks through and you can mop upthe excess with the inside of the crumpet as you bite it. I buy mine from Dominion, or whichever supermarket I'm at, they all have it. Check the baking aisle.
