baby friendly but anniversary-nice nr. Washington Square Village?

adorno Nov 20, 2007 05:49 AM

It's our anniversary tonight and we'd like to go for a nice meal nr. our abode at Washington Square Village. But we have a 15 month baby who will be with us, so we need to go early and we need kid-friendly. Any ideas? Our fall-back is Noho Star which we've been to with the baby and know is workable. But it's a little less upscale than we'd prefer and it is sort of our regular, local place so it is not a special-occasion place. But perhaps that gives a sense of what we're looking for -- nice but not extravagantly so, easy for a baby, nearby.

Other places that we know and therefore wouldn't count as special are Deborah's on Carmine, Kelly and Ping, North Square, Otto's (too noisy anyway).

Try La Focaccia on the corner of W4th St and Bank.

Blue hill. Its unpretentious with extremely friendly waitstaff. I think you can get away with it.

I loved Villa mosconi...excellent food and friendly place. It is not a trendy place by far but welcoming and fun!
