She's My Sugar-Free Cherry Pie.
Okay. My mother has been stymmied trying to find a place to get a sugar-free cherry pie for Thanksgiving. She lives in Baltimore.
I found two places in the Baltimore area: Weber Mill Farms (just not convenient for her to get to) and Edelweiss Bakery which appears to have some mini-sugar free items. Dangerously Delicious Pies in Baltimore does one but stopped taking speciality orders a week ago and has no plans to make me a sugar-free pie (I asked nicely and all). At this point, I think she is going to bag the whole thing and I would love to suprise her with one.
I am in Silver Spring/Wheaton area but work in College Park. I could pick one up today on my way home if anyone has some hot 411 on a diabetic friendly bakery in the area. Also, as a caveat, I love my moms and all but I am not driving into DC, Bethesda or Rockville tonight. It just won't happen.
Tomorrow I am in Baltimore (pre-cooking for the big day) and would pick one up there is anyone has some insight.
Finally, a previous poster suggested Giant as a location to source a sugar-free pie. Anyone have experience with this? Are they good?
