Mexican Food

Hi,
My parents have recently moved to Rancho Santa Fe. My husband and I are travelling down and would love to take them for some great authentic Mexican. Any suggestions. . . north of the city . . . not too far from RSF. . . My husband and I are true foodies, organic, local and natural food types. We love to find the best local food and would really like to find a spot for my parents to frequent. Thanks for your help!

If you're considering driving inland to Hernandez Hideaway, you may as well drive 4 or so miles more to Hacienda de Vega in Escondido.
For coastal Mexican, I second La Especial Norte, but only for soups.

La Especial del Norte on the 101 just N of Encinitas.

You might try Hernandez Hideaway, on Del Dios Highway, El Callejon in Encinitas, or Tony's Jacal or Fidel's in Solana Beach.
