where to get fresh lovage herb in chicago

During the summer you can get it at the Green City Market, the farmer's market at the south end of Lincoln Park. The market keeps going in one of the zoo buildings during Nov. and Dec., but I'm not sure whether you would be able to find lovage there at this point.

Yes, it was available last Wednesday. Note Green City Market is now in its winter location at the Nature Museum-it's still half-in, half-out. The herb purveyor was just inside the front door.

The lovage in my garden is looking pretty tired and will be finished for the year if the weather forecast for the next couple of days is anywhere near accurate. Unless somebody is growing lovage in a greenhouse, truly fresh local lovage seems unlikely in Chicago until late April or May.
