Dining out for life - Sonoma County

Stephanie Sugars Nov 19, 2007 06:22 PM

Jiminy, on Thursday, November 29 over 50 local restaurants are donating 25-50% of the food tab to Food for Thought, Sonoma County AIDS Food Bank. Some places include breakfast or lunch as well as dinner - so you can have your good meal and share too.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder Stephanie! Friends and I make a point to participate in this every year but didn't last year because it snuck up on us and I found out about it AFTER the fact. Doh.

Looked at the restaurant list, and was happy to note that a few newish places were on it...hoping this year to give the new Elmo's Steakhouse a try.

Elmo's is great. Much more like the original Stella's than the new incarnation of Stella's. Make sure you call quickly for reservations - small place and fills up fast!

Glad to hear you like it. Didn't get a chance to try it for Dining Out For Life this time around though. But, please feel free to let the rest of Chowhound know about your experience there...post a *new* thread about your dining experience! The SFBayArea board needs all the Sonoma county reviews we can write! (:

San Francisco and East Bay restaurants are also participating, it should be noted. The website lists the particular restaurants.

Are theirs on the same date?

Ooops, SF and East Bay are on April 24, 2008, so it's a bit premature.

Thanks for calling my attention to the variable dates.
