*Tolerable* Chinese takeout in Astoria?
Ok, I can see from previous posts that there's no great Chinese food in Astoria. Nevertheless, sometimes there's a dinnertime void that only General Tso's chicken can fill, you know what I mean? Has anyone come across tolerably edible Chinese takeout, preferably in the vicinity of the 30th Ave N stop or between there and 21 St?
I'll try to define "tolerable:" no frozen peas-n-carrot cubes, no mushy fried rice. I tried the spot next to Pita Hot/Jerusalem Pita House on 30th Ave and it violated those two important guidelines. I'm just looking for fast, inexpensive food for my food-hole.

i have ordered from many different chinese places and the best one has been new ho wah on broadway and 42nd...delivery is fast and the food is very fresh and always arrives hot. they are also very accomodating to any specific requests w, prepartions of food, such as not being so heavy on sauce, no carrots, etc
