Delicious Chocolate Cake for Thanksgiving

Need to bring a delicious chocolate cake for Thanksgiving, preferably in Brookline, Newton, Needham, Wellesley area; was thinking maybe Whole Foods or Rosie's...any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Linda's Fudge Cake at the Cheesecake Factory is by far and away the best chocolate cake I've had in Boston.

That Linda's Fudge Cake at CF is great. The Quebrada cakes are great in a different way. They taste very pure, as another poster wrote.

I agree with Quebrada. We had one of their cakes this Sunday for a birthday and everyone commented on how fresh it was and the the frosting tasted like pure really good chocolate. I have had more than 25 cakes from them over the years and have always been extremely happy with them.

Thank you all. Because we were given our assignment so late, most bakeries that I called had stopped taking Thanksgiving orders last week. I ended up getting the last 8" Chocolate Fudge Cake @ Rosie's in Wellesley.

good choice, Whole Foods cakes look nice but taste like cardboard. I think Rosies still does a really great job

Quebrada in Wellesley makes a great chocolate cake w/white frosting. I've heard other cakes are good there, too, but that's the only one I can vouch for. The chocolate cake is especially dark, dense and moist, and the frosting tastes kind of like whipped cream. You could try an assortment of their mini cupcakes and see what you think. Also, ask them about the cakes because I think they make varieties not available in cupcake form.

Their chocolate frosting is excellent, too. Pick up one of their terrific almond croissants while you are there.
