Personally, I have eaten there several times and would choose it over anything else in the State. Don't know about gift certificates, but would not think it would be a problem. I amy get blasted for this but when I was in San Antonio I had the most fun at The Pig Stand and my son had the fried chicken...best I have ever had. It's been my husbands fav restaurant forever. And they also have his favorite Italian digestivo drink-cant remember the name but I think its awful.
