Stalk of brussels sprouts

I bought brussels sprouts on the stalk yesterday. There were some big, cabbage-y leaves at the tip of the stalk. Is there any point in trying to cook and eat those?

  1. IMO nah. Just cut off the sprouts and eat them. I throw them into my compost pile.

    1. My cousins husband has a nice vegetable garden and gave me a bunch of brussel sprout leaves. I used them as I would grape leaves and rolled them up with rice and meat. They were excellent.
