Late Night Party of 6

malan Nov 18, 2007 07:49 AM

Looking for a hot scene restaurant for late night after an event. We are a group of six, would rather have a reservation. We don't care what area or price. Our event doesn't end until 11:00p.m.,Any ideas?

most of the places above are good for food, open late, but NOT hot scene,

My event is on a Thursday night. I've been to Balthazar and Buddakan and both were
exactly what I had in mind, except I would like to try something new.

The Stanton Social serves food until 3 a.m. Spend the rest of your night bar hopping in the uber hot LES.

stanton social seems like it could be a good choice. I still haven't eaten there.

maybe Spice Market? I haven't eaten there in ages (new chef), but i imagine it's still gotta be good... and i love the decor...

Is Momofuku Ssam bar "sceney"? i haven't tried it yet, but it is open till 2 AM.. Had just missed it last time I tried.

The Stanton Social would definitely be trendy but I've read lots of complaints about the value of the food you get for the price.

Momofuku Ssam Bar isn't sceney but is pretty trendy/busy on Fridays and Saturdays. I guess it's "trendy for foodies"? I've seen a handful of chefs from around town eating there...

Personally I'd go to Blue Ribbon since it's a painful wait without a reservation, and they only take reservations for large parties. But it may not be scene-y enough for you.

if the bullseye is balthazar and buddakhan then... bobo, waverly inn, beatrice, dell anima...would not be appropriate for you

                  Blue Ribbon on Sullivan.

I'de suggest Otto or dell'anima. They are my two favorite late night spots.
