What to eat at Bliss?

I am going to Bliss tomorrow evening--a girls night out. The menu online looks a little boring so I am hoping that they have some great specials. Anyone been there lately? What should I try and what should I avoid?

Bliss has incredible French fries. They were not on the menu at dinnertime, but they are served at the bar and I'm sure you could get them as a side order. We had an order at lunchtime and six of us shared them. They are in my memory forever!

We had the fries and they were great!. I also had the tiger shrimp and eggplant tumpura which was a good contrast of flavors, and the beef short rib. The beef was very tender and flavorful. My friends had the filet mignon and both gave it a thumbs up. The crab cake first course was also a hit but the squash puree soup was just OK. We ended with a warm chocolate cake served with ice cream which pleased everyone. The waiter was friendly and knowledgable and helped me pick a yummy bottle of wine. We were very happy with our dinner at Bliss.

I second the short ribs -- excellent!

I didn't care for the pork tenderloin when I was there recently.

I did enjoy it very much but I thought it was a little pricey. Are there any dishes you would recommend? I would like to go back for lunch during the holiday season before going to a show.

Well the menu changes but if they still have the spring rolls all I can say is "yum."

I had a hard time choosing between the shrimp and the spring rolls for my first course but the waiter said if he had to pick just one he would go with the shrimp, so I did and they were excellent. Perhaps I should go back and just have first courses.
