L'Impero or ? for quiet evening before N Y Eve

What's happening at L'Impero after Scott left? Any recs for a intimate dining experience with great food without Per Se prices? Love most cuisines. And even willing to go into Brooklyn if it's worthwhile.

Check my postings, you will find more than one about l'Impero. I was there recently and will go back. I am heading to Alto tonight (same owners and chef) and will report on that afterward.

Lucky you - wish I were going there instead of heading out the door to da Silvano - hope your experience at Alto is as good as mine was.

I'll add the delightful Italian Vice Versa into the mix.

Was there last new year's which was fabulous but wouldn't trust it post-Scott.
