Leonardo is is right re: freeway close but don't worry, it isn't all a wasteland.
The Country Cat is less than ten minutes away. I had a great brunch there about a month ago and I've heard some very positive things about other meals. http://www.thecountrycat.net/
82nd St runs parallel to I-205 and has some great Asian dining options.
It depends on what kind of food you want--there's some decent places on NE Sandy Blvd that aren't too far, like Pho Oregon. There's some more options on NE Alberta, like Ciao Vito (Italian), Siam Society (Thai), or the reopened Alberta St Oyster Bar. Some other northeast options are Aladdin (inexpensive Lebanese), Autentica (upscale Mexican), or Fife (upscale American).
That area is a wasteland for food.
You'll have to get on I-205 and find something that is "freeway close", only ten minutes.
Malay Satay Hut is a good idea along those lines, also Wong's King, and Banh Cuon Tan Dinh.

Actually, you don't have to get on the freeway. I live in the area, and I'd just say to head down 82nd. Heading south, you'll pass Malay Satay, and then Pho Van. Turn right on Stark for Country Cat or left on Division for Wongs. Where you go depends on whether you want Cantonese, Vietnamese, pan-South Asian or American....
