I think Gelson's has them too. I bought some at the Olive store in Century City last year, but DH wasn't too impressed, especially after he heard that they were $14 a jar!

      2. just bought them at Whole Foods in Beverly Hills
$7.99 for the smaller jar and $9.99 for the large

Definitely saw them at the new ginormous WF in Pasadena.

        2. Surfa's, Guidi Marcelli, La Espanola Meats, Monsieur Marcel

          1. You can usually find chestnuts at Korean or Chinese markets. They may not be in a jar but vacuum-packed or in sealed plastic bags, but they'll be much cheaper than at a gourmet store.

On a semi-related side-note, do they still sell roasted chestnuts outside Nijiya Market in Japanese Village Plaza on cold weekend nights in the winter?
