We have gone every year at Christmas eve..although our kids have grown up now. I liked the tradtion..but the last time we went our favorite waiter had retired..so it wasnt the same. I felt not connected to the staff.just served. I know that is how it is done in fine dining(reading the new book Service Included about Per Se Thomas Kellers restaurant)..but it was weird having so many people take different orders..The food was the exact same as usual.. Menu too. Still a 6-8 out of 10 in my book..The Steak Diane always good.. and great martinis. We may try to start a new tradtion somewhere else.. anyone have any other ideas? for Christmas eve..or close to it for a real Christmassy feel.
