I have eaten there twice, once this past summer and once the summer before. It is not a real steakhouse, there was only one steak on the menu. The menu is very limited and is the same one that he used at Foy's on Anrnold Ave (since closed). The food is always fresh but very over priced and the service...The absolute worst I have ever experienced! The good part, NEVER a wait.

re: Barbarella
Not an area we frequent for dining. If you're looking for a steakhouse, the only one I'm familiar with in the general Shore area is Manhattan Steakhouse, on Route 35 North, in Ocean. Though it's been ages since we've eaten there, my pal, bgut1, has been there often and likes it.

re: RGR
Hey RGR. I'm back from vacation and hope to drop you a line soon. As far as steakhouses in the area, I've tried them all and the most serviceable establishment is Manhattan Steakhouse. From the good cocktails, to the family style salad, to the well cooked steaks and sides, its the best in the area. It also doesn't hurt that Jaime the owner is a great host. In a pinch I would also try What's your beef. Not as good as Manhattan but good none the less. The NY Strip at Cooper Canyon is also good but you don't get the steakhouse experience if that is what Barbarella is looking for. If she is willing to drive out of the area, I highly recommend the Strip House in Livingston. Its one of my favs. Good Luck Barb and please let us know where you went.

re: bgut1
Hey all,
When my DH got home that night he was not very hungary, at least not enough for a great steak. We wound up going to a little place in Wall off Hwy 34, Runway 34. I was craving a burger. I had a great one and sat at the bar and relaxed, just what I wanted. Next time we do steak, will try Manhattan. Sounds good. and thanks-- -
re: bgut1
I second this on Manhattan. I have always avoided this place over the years, but much to my supprise after trying a tenderloin I'm impressed. I'll go back again! As far as Brennan's is concerned it is a has been. The original chef as well as the staff are long gone and so is the quality - sorry everyone...
